This weekend I finally made it out to the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge to do some hiking and see what the place is all about. It’s a beautiful area along the river and adjacent to Lake Worth, so there are ample opportunities for wildlife viewing and canoeing, etc.
OK, perhaps you’ve heard there’s going to be this PrairieFest shindig at Tandy Hills Park on Saturday. The West and Clear posse will be out in full force to support this wonderful park, and to help spread a little more beauty in the Panther City, we’re sponsoring a Haiku Contest at our booth.
It was either that or have Pete Wann wrestle a bobcat, and this just seemed more earth friendly. [Read more]
The whole city is grateful for these brave construction workers who risked missing lunch and possibly losing a finger to make Bob’s life a little better. (Seriously, though, good job folks! Thanks for not just leaving him to get squished by a backhoe.)

Ah, springtime in Texas. We get to experience, however briefly, weather that is neither hot nor cold. Perfect temperature to get outside and enjoy the elements. Whether a still evening like tonight, with just an occasional whiff of a breeze, or a bright beautiful afternoon, this is certainly the time of year…for bugs.
