Wow, that instantly turned into a flame war at the Observer page … As an OU fan, I think it’s ridiculous to start the season this way. And why hasn’t this already been decided? We know we’re playing Miami, so why aren’t some of the other OOC games scheduled?
M-O-N-E-Y. This would be a marquee game for Jerry to kickoff his new stadium. But still — what’s wrong with TCU? They’re a better team than BYU and they are local.
I would go with MONEY. But seriously, I think BYU would be the better choice for that game for several reasons first BYU would probably out sell TCU, BYU’s fans travel well, second TCU has played OU twice in the past 3 years and third I’m not sure TCU fans are willing to pay the premium ticket price in their backyard, (barely 30,000 at Amon Carter this year for an important BYU game with both teams ranked; about 5,000 of that count were BYU fans)bringing us back to MONEY.
Paul C - without TCU, OU would be in a 2nd or 3rd rate bowl this year.
Taking all of our big family to this game. Can’t wait. This will be awsome in the new stadium. Was able to buy 8 tickets which was the limit. We are season ticket holder of the Dallas Cowboys. Was able to get 8 together as we got first chance. They will go on sell Sat. will have to get the rest of the tickets then.
I think this is a great oppurtunity for BYU to step on the national stage, and show how good a team they profess to be. A win would do works for their program. However it will not be easy if they play like they did when they played TCU or the U, than no contest. If they play like they did when they played UCLA then we will have a great ball game. If BYU plays well then I would predict a shoot out, and BYU would win it on a last minute drive.

I don't want to give away all our secrets, but the West and Clear team uses just about every Google product available, including a few not even on that list.

Stupid question, but is this considered a home game and part of the season ticket package? Wishful thinking???
