I have to agree with Mr. Cohen’s sentiment about principle. I live in a neighborhood that negotiated a sweet deal with XTO. I could have really used the dough, and all my neighbors think I’m crazy for not signing, but I kinda see that money as being a little like karma. Let them drink my milkshake, but I won’t be bought.
