Thanks for doing this podcast, Pete. I’m really looking forward to this year’s festival. My favorite moment from last year’s festival was also the Saturday night party at Embargo with Robert Rodriguez and the Rumblers. What a once-in-a-lifetime experience! One of my other favorite things about last year’s festival was its intimate feeling. Like Alec and Dennis mentioned, I think that has a lot to do with downtown Fort Worth. For those of you who weren’t able to make it out there last year, I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy it this year (November 12th - 16th). It sounds like it’s going to be great!

Oh, and I know the Lone Star Film Society is looking for volunteers for the festival so if you’re interested, you can sign up on their website http://www.lonestarfilmsociety.com/.

I volunteered about 40 hours prior to and about 24 hours during the festival last year. I had a great time and it was a good cause.
I agree with Kim, the party at Embargo with Robert Rodriguez, Johnny Reno, T-Bone Burnett and Harry Dean Stanton was so much fun. And, after the show, we watched Robert’s first full length feature, Roadracers at the Rave at Ridgmar Mall. It has been remastered in HD quality. One of the coolest nights of my life.
Please, support this awesome festival and the society. It’s a fledgling festival that should continue for many, many years.

I’m glad that everyone enjoyed our evening with the Rumblers, as that event was my proudest accomplishment of the festival last year.
I wish I could be in Fort Worth to see this year’s festival, but I’m sending good vibes from Hollywood, and I look forward to some great coverage at W&C.
I hope many of you will volunteer with the festival, and really make it a community event.
Fort Worth deserves a great Film Festival, and it takes a lot of support from YOU to make it happen.
peace it together,
pete
