This just in from a loyal reader: what is wrong with this wall map at the Trinity River Audubon Center in Dallas?

1) They forgot to put Lake Ray Hubbard on the map;
2) They should go ahead and add the bypass channel and urban lake from Trinity Uptown;
3) Fort Worth is too far below Dallas. Since we read left-to-right, Fort Worth should always be at the top of the document on the left, with Dallas farther down on the right; and
4) Clear Fork? Lake Benbrook?
Oh, and if you want to get nit-picky:
5) No north arrow or legend

Since when did the Trinity feed into Lake Grapevine?

I was going to mention the Trinity going into Grapevine. Nothing but creeks go into Grapevine.

I have heard about urban flight, but didn’t expect the Clear Fork to move to Grapevine.

We have a winner! As you all know, you can’t have WEST without CLEAR.

Awe, c’mon…. Everyone knows Trinity means “three”. As you can see, they already have three Trinity branches, if you include the new one flowing through Lake Grapevine. It would be excessive to label that other “creek” that meets the Trinity at Fort Worth.
