Vote In The Only Election Money Can (Legally) Buy!

by Pete Wann

Every year, Fort Woof dog park holds a mayoral election to raise money for maintenance and improvements to the park.

This year’s slate of candidates seems pretty strong, but I’m told there are some Karl “Roveran” tactics being used to skew voter turnout and election results. (Sorry, but I am contractually obligated to do that sort of thing.)

Please, if you use the dog park, be sure to give a little money to help keep things nice and to improve it even more.

Also, if you’re looking for something to do next Saturday, check out Barktoberfest @ Fort Woof, benefiting CLASP (Cowtown Loves Animal Shelter Pets) and raising even more money for the park! I’m told that some of the proceeds from Barktoberfest will go to funding the construction of the adoption center at the city animal shelter, something that’s desperately needed to help deserving pets find new permanent homes. You can split your time between the Cowtown Rugby Tournament and Barktoberfest!

Next year, you’ll have the chance to vote for the cutest mayor Fort Woof will have ever had. He’s not ready for the big stage yet, but he’s formed an exploratory committee for next year. (Last I heard, they were digging holes all over the park looking for buried skeletons.)

Thanks to friend of W&C Jason Smith for all the doggone details!
