Fort Worth Link Roundup
by Pete GMayor Mike’s unabashed connections to energy companies are getting some attention from the think tanks. “Always suspect anyone who approaches an ethical issue purely in terms of law or in terms of character.”
Speaking of Mayor Mike…Here’s your chance to see him take a flying leap.
Scherzer is a former Fort Worth Cat. Check out the photo…his right eye is blue, the left is brown. In his recent MLB debut, Scherzer came in as a reliever against the ‘Stros & retired the first 13 batters…Baseball History!
West and Clear pal Hasty shows off some Fort Worth snaps from his new (old) Twin Lens Reflex camera. Nice work. Did you have to buy the film at a museum? LOL ROTFL.
West And Clear homey James Johnston just got back from screening his “Merrily, Merrily” at the Sarasota Film Festival and the Maryland Film Festival where his short was well recieved.
Check out Ben’s post if only for the totally comedy photo of a Lamborghini with a road bike rack strapped to it’s back. LOL.
I can’t get enough of the train photos!
“Texas Grill is a fried food restaurant that specializes in awesome.”
And here’s a mother’s day vid from West And Clear favorites PPT
“Monkey Man” is one of my favorite songs. See three different versions over at the Stash Dauber. Hooray for The Specials!
Durango makes a case for Nude Hiking in Texas. Whattayasay, Bernie, PeteW, Kevin and Steve? How about a Nude romp around Lake Worth?
Dang, too bad that didn’t work! He could almost pay for the war in Iraq!
More reaction to news of gas wells downtown.”It looks like greed is now more important than civic pride and responsibility[...]It is one of Texas’ greatest cities. I just hate to see them taking a giant step backwards after all they have accomplished.”
The Fort Worth Opera is making big news in the opera world with “Angels in America.” But you already knew that because you listened to our podcast
Sac Bee columnist Jim Wasserman describes a recent jaunt to Fort Worth to see new properties like the Texas and Pacific Lofts. Killer Murphy Bed! He compares Fort Worth to Sacramento which makes a lot of sense to this fella.
John Peter Smith proposes that if a fella is rich enough, he can do whatever he wants to Fort Worth.
If police chases are your bag, here’s a crazy video from a chase in Fort Worth last month.
Live YouTube from June 24, 1972 at the Tarrant County Convention Center. “We’re going to play a little acoustic guitar for you on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Why aren’t you in church anyway!?”
“We’re a gun toting state. We have a lot of John Wayne in our blood. We’re gonna shoot first and ask questions later.”

I’m sure it’s been said before, but just incase, that Scherzer is one pitcher who would be hard to stare down. :p
Maybe old Doc “Moonlight” Graham could throw him off with a wink.
