In The Middle Of The Storm

by Kevin Buchanan

I snapped these photos from my loft last night as the big thunderstorm rolled into downtown and sent Main Street Arts Festival patrons scurrying for the nearest retail space. Even managed to get the last gasp of a lightning bolt in that last photo. Also got a couple of photos showing off the hail that fell during the middle of it all.

Thought the world might like to see them. Click each one for a bigger view.

Cool photos! I found myself driving down 121 S at Beach St at 7:58PM on Thursday night and faced that horrendous storm in all of its glory. It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen! I wish I could have taken photos of it.

I’m looking forward to seeing more photos, and I hope everyone made it out of that storm with no damage.

The red oak tree sticking out of my roof from the previous week’s storm now has hail damage from the recent storm. Can you say “double claim”? I was just getting attached to have a tree limb in my dining room. Look out, State Farm.
