DaFoWoShow — The Accent Is On The “Fo”

As much as it pains me to say anything nice about the Star-Telegram because — you know, I’m just kind of dick that way — I must report that I have seen the pilot of DaFoWoShow, the Startlegram’s attempt to be young, edgy and funny and I found it to be, uh, young, edgy and funny. I laughed. Out loud. Really.
Hosts John Metz and Kristin Campbell script the show along with Kingpin of Cowtown Rick Press and are shooting for a tone that Campbell calls “respectfully irreverent.”
Although I thought it was kind of like The Daily Show, Campbell said they are more inspired by Webcasts such as Wallstrip, Mob Logic and Diggnation. It’s sort of remixing Web video culture with a Fort Worth perspective.
They’re shooting for the lunch crowd by posting around 11:30 a.m. on Thursdays. If you are looking to burn through some of your company’s bandwidth, drop by the Startlegram home page about that time and check it out.
