Grace Restaurant Opening August In Carter + Burgess Plaza

by Kevin Buchanan

The blank glass slab of Carter+Burgess Plaza on Main Street is about to get a bit more pedestrian friendly. Street-facing ground floor retail will be added on the Main Street side to accommodate Grace, a new restaurant scheduled to open August 8. Grace is being designed by Firm 817, the architecture & design firm of Joe and Tracy Self, who also host Design Talk Radio.

This small addition is great news from an urban design perspective - adding a proper street-facing ground floor retail space will be a big improvement to the otherwise typically ’80s blank-walled tower. Grace will be a welcome addition to the downtown streetscape.

  1. Hi Kevin, avvy here from the FW forum. My hubby’s cousin/best friend just landed a job here, starting in October. I can’t wait to check it out!
