As we sit around the humongous West and Clear fireplace, deep inside the West and Clear cave, hidden beneath the Sinclair building, we’re reflecting on the things we’re thankful for… like good family, great friends, and Guitar Hero. And the West and Clear readers. And a few snowflakes that started the holiday season off right.
Use the comment thread to sound off and tell us what you’re thankful for.

Fine, if you are all too shy, I’ll start this one off:
I’m thankful for:
my wife, Victoria, and our first holiday season as a married couple.
my business partner, Jason, and my W&C Partners Pete, Pete, Steve, & Kevin.
My good health, and the ability to ride a bicycle for transportation
Rahr & Sons’ Stormcloud IPA
My Accordion, which I pulled out of the closet for the first time in a while last night
All the folks who helped so much during the city council campaign, writing letters, talking to your neighbors, etc (you know who you are)…
The folks at Starr-Tincup, without whom I don’t think I could have gotten the word out so effectively
A super-supportive family
That’s not all, but those are the ones I’m most immediately thankful for. Your turn.

I’m thankful for the opportunities that blogging and podcasting have opened up for me.
I’m thankful for Jenna’s family because they’ve shown me how an extended family is supposed to be.
I’m thankful that I have choices, even though I often choose not to choose.
I’m thankful for the great city of Fort Worth, home to my friends and the place I want to be.

I’m thankful for …
the two little freckles under my husband’s left eye
the pescado entero at Benito’s
Blue Bonnet Hills
crunchy, icy beer slush
friends who actually choose to spend their Thanksgiving at my house
and who always leave Rahr Storm Cloud in our fridge
a little girl who passionately believes in aliens
blue northers
leaps of faith

I’m thankful for…
finding more Fort Worth blogs and podcasts
celebrating the differences
leaving a job to realize that wasn’t my goal
not having enough money to realize it’s my fault
being left alone to realize I have great friends.

I’m so thankful for:
- you guys, for this blog site and all it brings for open viewing
- the picture of the fireplace at the top which warms me on this cold, drizzly day
- like-minded individuals/friends/enemies that want more for, and from, our City
- downtown Fort Worth
- my godchild who brings me such joy, laughter, honesty and luv.
- my dogs who love me no matter how politically incorrect I am or how I say what I mean
- and just plain ol life in general - the journey is fun

*My wife Tarita, and the nice life we have together
*Marvel and Tommy, my kitty bros
*My family, in-laws most certainly included
*My friends Here and There
*The health of everyone mentioned above
*Access to opportunity, which is limited solely to my imagination
*The written word
*Like Pete W said, that my lifestyle is defined by choice rather than
desperation, unlike most of the 7 billion people on this planet
