Linky’s Round-up!

  • Ben over at Texas Tailwind gets to ride with some American cycling legends, and posts some pics to share the experience with the rest of us…
  • The Fort Worthian lets us know about a new comedy troupe from the folks that brought you Four Day Weekend: “Just Another Day.” Sounds like fun, I wish I had Thursdays free to go.
  • Pete G. drops one on the artsy crane tip… Unbelievable pic, dude! I’m looking forward to having your skills at my disposal. :)
  • Steve-O reminds us that there’s more to gas drilling than who signed what for how much, but you wouldn’t know it from reading the Star-Telegram.
  • Kevin gets a little scoop on the mystery store on the corner down 7th Street - it’s a 7-Eleven!
  • Pete shows us that Chuck Silcox wasn’t always a bigot. One thing I was wondering, if Chuck Silcox is city employee and Joel Burns is a city employee, does this constitute harassment under the law Silcox helped pass? Irony’s kinda cool, huh?
  • The Kingpin of Cowtown proves how out of touch with Fort Worth the S-T has become, with exactly ONE post on the main page that has even the slightest thing to do with Fort Worth. I’ll forgive the posts about your family escaping the fires, Rick, but you could at least stick to your stated topic: “the wild, wild, Web.” There are a hundred thousand other sites people can go to get info about that stupid dancing show, but only a few official blogs by our local paper. (One of which hasn’t been updated since September 16th.) Gimme something to read!
  • If you missed St. Vincent at Midnight at The Modern last week, fear not. First, it was kinda boring. Second, you can listen to the whole show here thanks to the magic of teh internets.
